Sherman DIGITIG 218 AC/DC MULTIWAVE is a digitally controlled TIG welder with AC/DC, pulse and MMA functions. TIG AC supports aluminium work, while TIG DC suits steel and stainless steel with appropriate materials and gas.
Selectable AC waveform, frequency and balance allow the arc to be adapted to the joint. Up to 10 memory sets support repeated tasks, while HF or Lift ignition provides a choice of arc-start methods.
Select square, sine or triangular AC waveforms. AC frequency and balance adjustment help tune the arc and cleaning action. Pulse operation provides base-current, frequency and pulse-width control to match heat input to the part.
MMA output up to 160 A is supported by Hot Start, Arc Force and VRD. The machine suits workshop repairs and precise TIG work. It is a TIG/MMA unit and has no MIG wire feeder.
